Summary
It’s a little surreal, standing between the two men he’s been fantasizing about for months.
At least he doesn’t seem to be alone in feeling that way. Bucky’s lounging behind him, faux-coy over his nerves. Sam looks like a live wire, his pupils blown wide and his lips parted as he looks up at Joaquín. Joaquín has seen Sam’s adrenaline-jitters after running a successful mission, but that’s nothing compared with the waves of nervous excitement rolling off of him now.
The whole room is crackling like storm-air before a lightning strike. It’s like all Joaquín’s longing has been tripled and caged in a small room. Holy shit, have Sam and Bucky been dreaming of this the same way Joaquín has?
or: the one where Joaquín Torres gets his dreams met (and his dreams are getting absolutely railed by Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes)

Summary
“He was thorough,” Bucky observes, cracking a smile as he flips through the pages of Sam’s old history book. “Was he always like this?”
“Only with the things he was especially taken with,” Sarah says. A smirk plays at the corner of her mouth. “He was very taken with the Howlies.”
Sarah fits a lot of meaning in the way she says taken, and Bucky gets it. “Gabe?”
“Was one of his personal heroes.” Sarah pauses and eyes Bucky meaningfully. “But Sam didn’t have an enormous schoolboy crush on Gabe Jones.”
Or: the one where Sam had a childhood crush on Howlies-era Bucky

Summary
Bucky finishes his coffee, licks a bit of foam off his lip, and turns to Sam with a glint in his eye. “Want a blow job?”
Sam rolls his eyes, chuckling. “Honey, you are a parody of yourself sometimes.”
“I like what I like. Besides, that wasn’t a no.”
“…no, it wasn’t, was it?” Sam stops lacing his boots, and Bucky grins.

Summary
“You can crash here for the night, you know,” Sam says. “I don’t hate you enough to send you all the way back to Brooklyn in the rain.”
"Queens," Bucky says. Sam quirks his head. "Looked for a place in Brooklyn, but I couldn’t afford anything there without Steve."
"I don't hate you enough to send you back to Queens, then. Get comfy or don’t, up to you.”
“Thanks,” Bucky says, and his smile is so soft it almost reminds Sam of-
Nope. Not going there, not today, not ever. Sam brings out some soft goods, puts a Motown mix too loud on his headphones, and deep-cleans the kitchen while Bucky makes up the couch.
Or: The one where two veterans on the run from their issues come crashing headfirst into each other.

Summary
“I can treat myself. It isnt– It isn’t that bad,” she mutters through clenched teeth; she doesn’t know who she thinks she’s fooling with the shakiness in her voice, and she can feel them all looking at her, scrutinising her, and what she wouldn’t do to get out of that room right fucking now.
With her luck, of course, it follows that she’s been stabbed in the one place littered with scars in all stages of healing.
..........
Trinity Santos is down on her luck. An injury from hands other than her own, an overbearing roommate, and the one person she tried desperately to push away now far too close for comfort.

Summary
After an eternity, Garcia lightly pinches the bridge of her nose, sighing exasperatedly. “Fine, I’ll bite. What actually is your fucking problem with Langdon?” Trinity’s breath hitches. “And don’t tell me it’s just about the meds, because it isn’t. It’s been ten months, Trinity. If it were that simple, you’d be over it or confronting him directly. I don’t need this bullshit. Tell me or tell a fucking therapist.”
Trinity flounders, mouth opening and closing uselessly. Obviously, she realised Garcia would hit this point sooner or later; she’s too smart, too observant, not to notice and too headstrong not to confront her about it. Still, she thought she had a little more time; maybe Garcia would even end things before they had to have an honest conversation. “I…” She can’t. She’s tried to get the words out before— to her parents, her surviving friends, to a therapist, to the cop that eventually came to speak to her after it all (not that that went anywhere without her testimony).

Summary
Her stomach jolts at his words, something cold spreading through her bloodstream so fast it makes her fingertips tingle. No.
His hand tightens around her neck, and she thinks that it’s overkill, really, because she’s not sure that she’d be able to breathe even if it wasn’t there, even if she didn’t just get essentially body slammed by what felt like a football linebacker. His other hand is moving lower, squeezing and grabbing roughly at her stomach, her hips, her thigh.
And she’s trained for this. She’s planned for this. She’s thought through this scenario in her head, so many times, what she would do if it happened again. She takes Krav Maga, for fuck’s sake.
But she can’t breathe, and she can’t move, and she’s 12 years old again.
____
Trinity is assaulted at a bar. Her least favorite coworker is, somehow, the one who’s there for her after.
