Summary
In the early 1900s, a mysterious, long-neglected entity with a god complex lures a lonely little boy in New Orleans into her web. In the present, Alastor's relationship with his mother turns out to be nothing like what anyone had imagined; Charlie's philosophy is tested by her incredibly trying new client; and surprising family secrets come to light.
OR- 'There's nobody else who could possibly be this man's mother' and 'Who's the most despicable person I can think of who could drive Princess Charlie crazy?' Oh? It's the same person? And there's other obvious things to explore? How convenient!
1/26/24: Just a disclaimer that I started this like 3.5yr before the show aired, so much of this story's Hazbin lore is considerably different than what was revealed as canon. I'll have to largely stick to the characterization and lore I committed to.
