Summary
“Hello?”
He couldn’t hear anything, not even the faint sound of someone breathing. Chris sensed a presence behind the silence. It pierced straight through him like a red-hot knife.
“...Hello? Who’s there?”
Just as he was about to hang up, an anguished voice answered. “…Are you Janie Cornell's brother?”
“I am.”
“Janie... jumped from the window of her apartment. She’s at Snoqualmie Valley. In intensive care. She may not make it through the day.”
-
Chris had always been very close to his family; he was kind and loving—until he decided he needed to become independent and move somewhere else to lead a different lifestyle. It wasn’t until his sister committed suicide by jumping out the window of her apartment that he decided to return to the place where he was born.
But Chris knows a girl who should have been just another friend of Janie’s… except that every answer she gives makes Janie’s passing increasingly hard to believe.
The question that keeps running through Chris’s mind is: Did Janie really jump?

New York, 1989.
Billie Winters is nineteen years old, has two jobs, a baby brother to take care of, and a band that’s just starting to get noticed. Music is the only thing she’s ever been sure about.
Everything else is much more complicated.

Summary
Years earlier, when war still raged far from the North, in the Stepstones, Rickon Stark swore an oath to King Viserys I to strengthen the alliance between North and South. The North pledged to answer the call to war, should it be required, to defend the legitimacy of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen as heir to the Iron Throne.
In the year 121 AC, with Rickon Stark dead, the king weakened, and the Old Gods ever more distant, that oath demands to be fulfilled. A Stark must leave Winterfell.
Yet the descendants of the First Men were not born to abandon their lands, and the South does not worship the Old Gods, nor does it welcome their wolf-blooded devotees, who seldom pass beyond the northern walls unscarred.

Summary
Miranda Sheppard always thought Hawkins, Indiana was a quiet—maybe even boring—little town. But that illusion shattered in 1983, the day Will Byers vanished without a trace. It was the beginning of something much darker.
Four years later, after losing her father in 1985 and surviving the horrors of Starcourt, Miranda is trying to move forward, scarred but still standing. She spends the summer away from Hawkins, hiding out in the quiet town of New Harmony with her aunt and uncle—searching for peace, even though she knows forgetting isn’t an option.
When she returns for her senior year, Hawkins is almost unrecognizable—marked by grief, silence, and secrets that never really stayed buried. But something else is stirring in the shadows: a supernatural threat that never truly died. And now it’s back—stronger, crueler, and hungry for more than just blood.
It wants to consume everything.

Before one became a dreamer and the other a monster, Daeron and Aerion were simply brothers fishing in the spring sun at Summerhall.
