Summary
It is the end. The curtains are going to close just as they've been destined to. You've said it. Feldspar will be back on Timber Hearth no matter what they say and the sun will burn red one final time and Gabbro will be launched into orbit via cyclones for the last time. Like the sole decider for when the universe should die, with a swirling behemoth of grief maybe-maybe not come to peace yet.
And yet it doesn't. And somehow the one of the only constance Gabbro had during the loops is gone so suddenly.
They're not sure they really prefer this outcome.—
Hatchling goes missing, at the end of it all.

You were selfish. You wanted to live. You wanted to tear and claw your way back from the edge, because it wasn't fair. You had accepted this so long ago, but that anger still boiled deep within. Your blood ran hot like the Lantern's lava, bright and painful; you were just so tired. You missed the days when you were but a tadpole, when the adults would cradle you in their arms and tell you everything would be alright. You wanted to go back. You wanted to go home.
