Summary
“Dalton.” The faintest quaver in Matty’s voice. “Status on Macgyver.”
Jack stared at the body. At Macgyver’s body. A teardrop fell and formed a small clear circle amongst the dust and rubble. A sob rattled in Jack’s chest and broke its way out with a wounded, broken, keen.
“Dalton—“
Jack lifted his hand, pressing the end of Mac’s multitool against his forehead. The burning heat of it was painful, but he wanted to feel it. Wanted to feel every bit of the heat that had took Mac from him. The heat that should have taken him too. “He’s dead.”***
The Organization has been relentless in their attempts to kill Macgyver. During one such attempt, Mac makes a spur of the moment choice to fake his own death to keep his friends out of danger. This leaves his friends grappling with the loss, and gives himself the opportunity to help take out the Organization as an undercover agent.

Summary
Michael Jackson is no stranger to rumors, but when increasingly invasive articles begin dissecting his private life, even he starts to feel the weight of the headlines.
At the same time, Hollywood's favorite leading lady is growing tired of being reduced to pretty smiles and successful romance films while her dreams of becoming a serious actress remain firmly out of reach.
A carefully negotiated relationship offers a solution to both of their problems. For Michael, it provides a much-needed shift in public perception. For you, it opens doors that have always remained frustratingly out of reach. It's mutually beneficial, protected by a contract, and entirely for the cameras.
At least, that's what it's supposed to be.

Summary
Anakin Skywalker never did like himself.
Anakin hardly glanced at mirrors, nor looked at photos. He especially ignored the ones going around Republic servers.
For as long as possible Anakin would live in his uniform. He could not, or rather did not want to acknowledge anything about his body. It was the limitations of flesh that he could not handle. The same flesh that was battered, beaten, bartered over all those years ago. But Anakin reminded himself that he was in a war now, a war that now reached farther than just within him. He couldn't think about these insecurities, that uneasy feeling he got under his skin. It was irrelevant, he told himself all too often. With it came too much hurt, a pang of guilt, a foggy idea that he was damaged goods - an idea he knew for a fact was just a remnant of his time in chains, but still hung in the back of his mind nonetheless.
For the past month he could no longer undress in front of Padme. His wife, Padme. Sometimes he wanted to wish away his human body. Often he wished to be metal. Always, he loathed himself. Sometimes more than words could express.

Summary
When you woke, it wasn’t slow or drifting- it was all at once. There was no gradual return to consciousness, and no drifting up through layers of half-thought and sensation. One moment there was nothing- no time, no body, no awareness, no self- and the next there was everything, immediate and overwhelming as you came to life like a risen corpse, gasping and coughing, with Grace's name on your lips.
-or-
You wake four years after the events on the Vat, far from home- 11.9 light-years away from everything familiar. Dr. Grace is there- you didn’t lose him, not entirely- but when he wakes, it becomes clear that he doesn’t remember you; doesn’t remember what you meant to each other- and the strain of carrying that alone begins to show, even to him.
