Summary
There are several things that the dwarves don't know about the hobbit that is traveling with them. Things that Bilbo is glad to let them find out for themselves along the way.
The first is that he's prepared for anything. His mother used to quiz him about what he'd do in any situation - from relatives to trolls - and Bilbo never disappointed her with his answers. Riding a pony all day gives him plenty of time to plan for everything.
The second is that he can throw a stone or any other small object hard enough to embed it several inches into a tree trunk. His accuracy is uncanny even by Shire standards. He's quite proud of it.
The third is that he doesn't actually say so many proverbs when at home but it seems to annoy the dwarves so he spends time thinking up all the ones he's heard before.
And last, hobbits scold like it is no one's business. The Dwarves he's traveling with really have no idea what will happen if they truly piss him off.

Hollyhocking is a common hobbitish disease that crops up when a hobbit feels a sudden, deep, overwhelming affection for another. Its symptoms are in the flowers that erupt from the afflicted's lungs, and its cure is found in the fulfillment of the relationship, the removal of the flowers, or a separation from the object of one's affection.
As far as history goes, no Baggins has ever experienced a spontaneous, deep, overwhelming, unexpected attraction to anyone. As far as Bilbo Baggins is concerned, none ever will.

The Hobbit, but if Bilbo went on adventures with Gandalf and got up to mischief. Follow along while we watch our hobbit get into situations you wouldn't think he would be in. Crazy lore stories from Gandalf, the company learns Bilbo has friends in the most odd places. Watch as Bilbo sasses not one but two kings and gets away with it, see as two idiots who don't know what their doing fall in love. The company watching this small creature take on fights he shouldn't and fucking wins, if not by the way you think.
