Summary
When the Preeminent pulled him under the waters of Stiix, Morro expected the burning pain that faded to nothingness, the departure of his soul from Ninjago and to wherever he would go after the Cursed Realm’s destruction. He expected it.
What he didn’t expect is for that departure to last but a few seconds, for him to open his eyes to blue skies and the churning waters of Stiix.
But here he stands, still in the mortal realm, ripped away from his hopefully peaceful afterlife and into…
A tether he cannot escape. His own personal purgatory, chained to the one person he hates the most, and yet… he finds himself slowly hating it less and less.

Summary
At seven years old Wei Ying is sure of two things. One day he will die and see his parents again, and the only person in the entire world that can be trusted is himself. At least, he thinks he knows these things to be true. The facts start to get fuzzy between the dogs chasing him, to the men in white and red shielding him from both the dogs and the blistering cold rain.
The facts get even more fuzzy when Xie Lian, the man in white, offers him a once in a lifetime opportunity. The opportunity to be the disciple of a rogue cultivator, just like his mother.
At seven years old Wei Ying is sure he's in this life alone. As he grows, he learns that he is wrong.

Summary
Jiang Cheng is a venerated war hero and leader of one of the four great sects. If he couldn’t make a home for one foolish little nephew--if he couldn’t keep one child safe and happy--then everything he’s given up to rebuild Lotus Pier would’ve been pointless.
Except he has failed. A few inches in front of him, a Jin clan messenger butterfly fizzles out into gold dust as Jin Ling’s panicked voice cuts off into an echo: “Jiu-jiu, help–”

And so Lan Jingyi grew up, never telling another soul who his parents truly were, for Crimson Rain Sought Flower had forbidden it in fear of retribution. He would ruin the lives of any being who dared harm a hair on his son’s hair, but he would not risk it. He wanted his son to grow up safe and loved, not afraid.

Jingyi opens his eyes to an explosion of silver butterflies. His friends make muffled cries of surprise, but Jingyi relaxes. One of the butterflies lands on his nose, and his eyes cross when he tries to look at it.
The god, when he focuses on the standoff taking place in front of him, is shaking.
“Hua Cheng,” he whispers, terror clear in his voice, on his face. Sizhui, Jin Ling, and Zizhen all freeze. Jingyi grins broadly.or: jingyi is hua cheng's kid.
