His gaze caught the wrongness in Sol’s gait—the favoring of one side, the stiff carriage of his wings. They were pinned tightly to his back, not spread in the usual theatrical sprawl. Defensive. Masked.
He hated that he noticed. Hated that he knew him well enough to see it.
“You’re stiff,” Nightmare observed. “Favoring your right side. You're injured."
