Summary
so i had to make some changes in order for the story of heated rivalry to fit with the events in Winds of Change. namely, i shifted the time line forward 5 years (the boys were born in 1996 instead of 1991) and i switched the countries for the olympics so the story will still work. im making things easier by breaking up each chapter by season. additionally, im doing a mix of book canon and show canon. timeline will MOSTLY follow book canon, but the conversations are more similar to the show. there are going to be other moments where things diverge, because Shane and Ilya are SLIGHTLY more emotionally intelligent in this universe For Story Reasons Canon To The Setting. The Tuna Melt Incident is still on, though, sorry. there will be minor spoilers for parts of The Long Game near the end
i'll put the translations according to google of the russian peppered throughout and once my friend who ACTUALLY speaks russian is available, im going to have him double check, so the russian will most certainly be changing. eventually. just giving a heads up. if i remember :D
i will also switch between ilya's and shane's POV, but it will always be labeled

ANYWAY. THIS sylus is ABSOLUTELY a Criminal Bastard but hes sexy about it. MC is named; she too is a Criminal Bastard, also sexy about it. Caleb is highly present but he is not the hero, sorry to all the caleb girlies (im still thinking about the prequel to fishing for apples, i dont have a good plot yet just sex and i cannot write sex without plot sorry and that Crabapple pairing deserves a good plot). Xavier is also a Criminal but he is a Grieving Criminal and not as much of a Bastard. zayne works for Criminal Bastard Sylus but he has his reasons and also sylus pays him extra to be his conscience from time to time. lemme know if you find rafayel :3
i wanted to explore the idea of sylus as an ACTUAL criminal in a no magic world, but also in an established relationship with MC. also i wanted to try writing someone who feels no empathy and also try to write a heist movie because i am thoroughly insane and also why not

Summary
The Sylus Job is my version of a heist fic, set with characters from the Love and Deepspace fandom BUT without any magic, and taking place in the summer of 2025. The remaining stories are one-shots thanks to a conversation with a guest going by the name Pika on Ch. 7 of The Sylus Job, each written as an individual story to make it easier for people searching specific tags to find what they're looking for; I promise I'll do my best to keep the goofy tags to a minimum (I make no promises for the fluffy one-shot idea I have). The one-shots will ALSO take place at varying points both before AND after the original story (I'll indicate where each story falls on the rough timeline) and if you have an idea for a one-shot, let me know. I might have an outline already planned for that specific scenario, or you might give me an idea (I currently have 14 or 15 other ideas roughly plotted out. I MIGHT be insane).
Please note: the characters are behaving OOC when compared to in-game canon behaviors. I wanted to write them in very specific ways, with very specific personality traits, in a world without the magic of the game itself.
