Ever since she had gotten pregnant, he had gone overboard with the pampering. He'd refused to admit it, but watching the way her eyes softened whenever he did little things such as this, it was better than any drug in the world. He thrived on it.
"It's fine."
"Fine? It should be better than fine. I'm good with my hands, aren't I?"
"Excellent." She huffed out a laugh, practically glowing from where she lay in her nest of blankets and pillows on the bed.

It wasn't until V tried to get up off the bed that the pain hit; the relic, malfunctioning once again. A sudden dizziness struck him, knocking him to his knees.
"Fuck, V." Johnny hovered anxiously over him, unable to help. He tried to grip his shoulder, to hold him upright, but it phased right through him.
He'd pushed it too far. It was dangerous to let Johnny in like that. He knew that.

It was a bigger task than he'd imagined. It had been months, almost, without bothering with it. After losing Jackie, everything had lost it's appeal. The sky was a dull grey and food had turned to ash. Moving on wasn't as simple as flicking on a switch.
Though, V figured he could at least try, in some simple way. Like, y'know, masturbation.
Yet, Johnny lingered ever-present in the back of his mind. Even if he had yet to say anything, which was surprising, it was the simple fact of having an audience that set V on edge.

It might be reasonable to think that after ten thousand years, there wasn’t much a sinner could say that would surprise Lucifer.
Of course, that would be working off the assumption that he had spent any amount of time around humans consigned to his realm, which… yeah.
He didn’t have such a high score on the socialization front.
Still, he’d been living at the hotel for months now, and after spending anywhere between ten minutes to an hour in Angel Dust’s presence at a time, he was pretty sure he’d learned all the new terms humanity had invented for their bits and pieces. As well as a variety of creative ways said bits and pieces could be put to use.
But even he found his mind going blank when he overheard Cherri talking to Angel about a date she’d been on earlier that week.
