“Welcome, Darlings,” Pansy says, a voice enhancing charm making it so everyone can hear her.
“Tonight we have a few new guests I’d like to personally welcome to this soirée,” Pansy winks at Hermione, who feels her cheeks heat under the unwanted attention. “For those of you who don’t know, the rules of the party are simple. Every wizard puts his key into this bowl,” Pansy holds up a glass bowl and spins in a circle, showing it to everyone in attendance. “From there, every witch picks a key. Whosever key you choose is your partner for the evening to do with as you wish.”
Hermione gasps and glances over toward her best friend. “Ginny! Why didn’t you tell me this was a key party?!”
“Because I wanted to see the look on your face.”

"Slytherin would do well, help you on the path to greatness," the hat seems to be coaxing him, but for something that can read his mind, it sure doesn't seem to know him very well.
Harry doesn't want greatness. He doesn't need his name in lights and on everyone's lips. He wants meals, hot ones, whenever he wants, with people that he likes and that like him. Friends he can have adventures with, huddle under the blankets with at night and laugh with. People who might think… think he's worth something.
