The portal worked!! Too bad it exploded behind you, leaving you stranded in a world full of walking, talking objects. And with no way to contact your friends back home, you're left to the mercy of this world and its inhabitants. Now a phone is making you his assistant until a test tube, or your friend, can make a working portal back to your Earth.
All in all, trading in a life of high-stakes adventures for a life as a mere assistant is going to be a hard adjustment. And you just hope you can adjust fast, otherwise you'll be ripping this phone apart before the portal is even started.
