    “Hi!!” They whisper-yelled back, a wider grin on their (His? It’s?) face. The inside of their mouth glowed the same stark white as their eyes. They pointed at Mapicc. “We match!!”

     

    “We—huh—?” Mapicc blinked owlishly, head tilting slightly to the side. The creature (?) in front of him mirrored him, a cheeky grin on their face. “Oh, you mean—“ he pointed at their forehead, the rainbow bandana, and then at his own, red and tattered.
