Unknowingly, his legs stop thrashing, shock overtaking his body.
Standing there are his parents, faces both filled with a look of acceptance. It’s as if they knew this would happen and are partaking in this act.
He isn’t given anymore time to look since, not a moment later, he’s harshly slammed onto some sort of solid surface, back aching from the sudden drop. Four hands hold him down, one on each limb.
His mother speaks, silencing the noise, “Today, we meet under the guidance of Arahabaki in order to make a sacrifice.”
Or; Chuuya is Arahabaki’s vessel. Over time the ancient god gained followers which developed into a cult. Of course, as with all things in life, sacrifices must be made.

Summary
When he feels a shift in the atmosphere, he uses his bare feet to push against the ground, shuffling himself as far back as the handcuffs can reach. It’s a little strenuous on his arms to be in such a position, but there’s nowhere else for him to lay against.
Just like how his instincts had predicted, the door immediately slams open, making room for a short figure to step through.
The first thing Dazai notices about the intruder is the ginger hair, light from the hallway turning the edges of it into a dull fire. His gaze is completely transfixed on the man as gloved fists punch the guards standing near the door, another hand being swiftly lifted from his thigh to hold a knife to one of the guy’s throats, hastily slicing it.
Or; Dazai is a cat hybrid on his way to be sold to a new owner. Chuuya breaks in and finds him in a cage.
