When Rudo falls to the ground and end's up in No Man's Land he's rescued by a woman with long white hair and a magical wand. He later learns that his savior is Too Lily , the Ground's star celebrity.
(Instead of becoming a cleaner , Rudo becomes Too Lily's assistant using his gloves to aid in her performances.)

Rudo mocks, because an amused voice is about as close to laughing as he's ever been able to get.- or - Regto gets taken by the apostles, causing Rudo to be left all alone at 8 and eventually thrown in the pit at 10 instead of 15. This changes nothing and everything.

Summary
Neither say anything for a long moment. The street lamps flicker in the darkness and Rudo can see moths flock to their dying lights. If moths managed to survive down here, maybe fireflies did as well.
They weren’t stars, but they were the closest thing to them that Rudo could give Amo.
Stars aren’t visible from the Ground. Rudo finds them elsewhere.
