Summary
She is midway through a thought about how delightful her sandpit is when a high-pitched voice cuts through the air. “Hey! What’s your name?”
Mel turns, a red plastic shovel clenched in her fist. She searches for a moment, unsure where the voice has come from, before she spots a dark-haired head peeking over the wooden fence separating her backyard from the neighbour’s. The Petersons had it put in right after Becca and Mel learned to walk. Through the gaps between the slats, she can see the outline of a boy standing on his tiptoes on an overturned bucket.
She drops her shovel and walks over to the fence. There’s a multi-coloured table lying on its side in the grass. Becca normally holds her tea parties there, but Mel doesn’t think her twin will mind her using it as a stool. Especially not for a potential friend.
Or: Frank is Mel's next-door neighbour. They grow up together. It's hella cute and angsty.

Summary
Abby knows she’s not finding love on Love Island. It’s six weeks. She’s here to find a career: the seed money to start her own PR firm and the (hopefully) massive following that’ll have future clients salivating to have. And, of course, have a little fun while she does it.
She will not get stuck in her first couple, but America will know her as discerningly loyal. The key, she figured, was going to be finding someone smart enough (or dopey enough, she supposed) to do this with her. He’ll need to be devastating and charming, without being swarmy. He’ll need to -
Someone taps on the tinted window. It’s show time.

Where Mel's entrance into Casa Amor throws a wrench into Abby's (almost) flawless plan to win Love Island.

Summary
Frank Langdon and Mel King are best friends. And sometimes best friends need each other... right?
Whether it's babysitting or a shoulder to cry on, they've built a quiet rhythm of showing up when the other one needs them the most. But somewhere between these small favors something between them changes, and what began as a simple friendship becomes something deeper, harder to ignore, and impossible to live without. This is a story about finding out exactly just what happens when you ruin the friendship.
Work in progress — may or may not be an emotional roller coaster. You've been warned. (Most chapters have been updated with edits since publishing. No major content changes, though.)

Summary
When he finds the courage to leave the comfort of her steam shrouded bathroom, he makes his way out to the living room.
He stops in his tracks when he hears her, a fond smile etching onto his face.
He’s careful to disguise his footsteps on the vinyl floor, not wanting her to stop. He was rapidly beginning to realize he could listen to her sing forever.
She flits around the kitchen, alternating between humming and singing along to whatever music played in her ear, and all Frank can do is watch.
“Oh!” She says with a jolt when she finally notices him, “Frank! How are you feeling? I made spaghetti…spaghetti’s okay, right?”
“Yeah.” He nodded, “Yeah, spaghetti’s okay.”
She shuffles out of the kitchen a few moments later with two bowls in tow, “We can sit at the table, the couch…whatever you’re most comfortable with. If you want we can put something on the TV, that’s what Becca usually likes to do…”
“I like when you sing.” He can’t stop the words from coming, and he doesn’t regret them one bit when he watches her face change shades if only slightly.
“Oh.”

Summary
Mel King planned her life out to a T when she was thirteen years old.
What she hadn't planned for was meeting Frank Langdon on her first day of college at Penn State.
She definitely hadn't planned on becoming best friends with him.
And she absolutely hadn't planned on falling in love with him.
