It would’ve been fine. He likes the work. He likes Reigen. But his blood pressure is suffering the effects of seeing his boss slash crush slash best friend in the world throw himself in harms way every weekday between the hours of 08-18.

Halfway through a bite of chicken, Reigen sees the lights flicker. He pauses, brows furrowing lightly, but a glance in Ekubo's direction dispels the worry. If something were going on, he's sure the spirit would let him know. He's not petty enough to put a sleeping Mob in danger, after all—
Reigen freezes. A few of the espers stiffen as well, lifting their heads up in confusion. After a moment, Hoshino coughs.
"Uh," he says. "Is it just me or is the building shaking…?"
or, Mob has nightmares after the house fire incident, and Reigen is there in more ways than one.

In Jud’s defense, it’s been a long fucking day. And not one that he’s keen to recount.
He’s kept the damn thing turned off for most of the day. As a rule, he stays fairly available on Sundays, but—well, extenuating circumstances call for extreme reactions. Thankfully, he had kept enough of his head after Mass to force a shutdown instead of what he wanted to do, which was to hurl it against the wall and watch it shatter into a million tiny pieces.

“Alcohol?” Reigen asks. And of course the kid means alcohol, but Reigen can’t picture Mob getting drunk. It dawns on him that he might be talking to drunk Mob right now.
