He waves a hand, like an imitation of what he had done before. “It leaks.”
…Daisuke spares another glance towards medical. Unsatisfied, he feels, whispered in his head. He feels just like he did at the start of this internship. Out of place. Missing something.
Whatever that was, it hadn’t scratched the itch. And Daisuke was beginning to think it was going to fester if he didn’t do something about it soon.
OR: something isn't sitting right when daisuke finds out that curly crashed the ship. this spirals, as things tend to.

For a blissful moment, there is no pain. There is no Daisuke. There is only nothingness.
Then, suddenly, there are bright lights. Daisuke opens his eyes, blinking rapidly.
He’s in the main lounge of the Tulpar.

After he dies, Daisuke wakes up right before the crash of the Tulpar. He hears something he wasn’t supposed to, and it puts the events of the past into a whole new perspective. He decides to do something about it before it’s too late again.
