Summary
Charlie and Nick are in their mid twenties and both in relationships when they re-connect at the opening of Elle's art exhibition. They broke up 5 years previously just before Charlie started Uni. This story follows what happens when they find themselves back in each other’s lives. The concept is that the Nick and Charlie never had a fight at Harry’s party before Nick heads to Leeds. Without that fight, without the understanding of what it might feel to lose each other and without the healing conversations occurred following that, those problems would be kicked into the future – where distance and insecurities play a bigger role.
We know that Nick and Charlie are endgame though it’s just that this time – they take a lot longer to re-connect and there’s more hurt and mistrust to heal and forgive. They like to flirt with each other though, even when they both know they shouldn't.
