    Ilya Rozanov is having trouble sleeping, nothing seems to help anymore, scrolling through TikTok sends him on a discovery when he finds a man monotonously talking quietly and about very boring things that he can’t stop watching, his big beautiful hands and quiet voice hypnotize him and he can finally feel himself relax enough to sleep. The videos intrigue him but also wow how can anyone be so boring (and interesting at the same time) 🙄

    Ilya is hooked on Shane Haruto Hollander's ASMR channel Shh ASMR. How soon will he realize the channel belongs to his biggest rival on the ice, the man that gets under his skin is the same man who finally helps him sleep again at night.

    Ilya was only a few strides behind Shane on the ice.

    He clocked the angle before the hit even landed; Marlow coming in too hot, too fast, shoulder high. Shane turned and slowed at the wrong moment, skates clipping, balance gone.

    Impact.

    The sound carried oddly through the arena, duller than boards, sharper than ice. Shane went down hard, helmet skidding, body twisting. And then it all happened at once. Skates tangled. Marlow stumbled over him as he fell, too. A skate’s blade flashed too close, too sharp.

    Shane's injuries during the Boston/Montreal game are much more life-threatening than in canon. Ilya's quick thinking and bone-deep instincts are the only reason he survives.

    Too true.
    Fifth time’s a charm and Ilya sent ‘On my way!’ instead. David’s reply was immediate, ‘We’re gonna make a night of it, bud!’

    Or: Ilya is David's plus one for a function and is utterly unprepared for how David has been talking about him at work.
