Summary
Sett tugged him closer instead of letting go, red eyes burning as they searched his face. Talon jerked again, trying to wrench free. “If I was a nastier dragon,” Sett said quietly, “you’d be ash already.”
Talon, adopted into a family of monster hunters, is tasked with slaying one of the land's most fearsome, elusive beasts. But he finds himself woefully unprepared, despite his father’s instructions and soon is caught in the beast's claws. But he soon begins to question if life with a dragon isn't so bad after all.

After a break-up that left him with nothing but the clothes on his back, Talon returns home and scrambles to try and salvage the pieces of his life Ezreal left shattered. He's lost his home, his money and now his carer as an athlete is on the line after vicious rumours start to circulate in the news. What he really needs right now, is somebody to lean on.
It just so happens an old flame still lives in town.

When Talon wakes up the sun is already high in the sky and the bed is empty and his head is especially heavy on his pillow. It takes him a few minutes to drag himself free of sleep’s claws. It is almost miraculous that he is here at all. Talon is rarely awarded any miracles.
