A series of mostly canon-compliant short stories covering Astarion's life, from his turning through to just before the game starts. It's angst, so much angst. And eventually, it's wit and charm and sex and vampire stuff and more angst and adventuring and Astarion-is-bad-at-feelings and all the things we love about our favorite broken vampire. It's all from Astarion's POV and all intended as an intense character study.

Summary
“Make it hurt, then. Kiss me like you want to kill me.”
“I can do that.”
Two broken stars in a decaying orbit, passing closer and closer together until the inevitable, devastating collision.
Or, Tav is fucked up and down bad for Astarion, who doesn't quite see the appeal (but he's getting there). Sexual frustration, sloppy handjobs, a heavy dose of masochism, and way too many failed Insight checks ahead. Tav falls first, Astarion falls harder (eventually).
Or, a tragic-but-hopeful romance told through a series of incredibly ill-advised sexual encounters.
If you want to read a story where Astarion is sweet from the start and Tav is here to fix him, this isn't the one. If you want to read about two terribly broken men spending a good long while making each other worse before they make each other better, this might be for you. If you thought the in-game romance was a little too easy and it should have been ten times more painful and difficult to convince Astarion he's worthy of love, this is definitely for you.
Set during the canonical events of Baldur's Gate 3.

It's a half-truth, a sliver of honesty woven into the elaborate lie. He may not be whoring himself out anymore, but survival has a way of twisting morals. Without anyone watching his back, Astarion wouldn't last a day out there with no protection or ammo. His last clip went dry ages ago. If he can't gain this man’s trust, he’d be dead before sunrise. Maybe not from the infection itself, but getting ripped apart by those things is a real possibility – not to mention the raiders and cannibals that terrified him more than those fungus creatures.
Gale's grip on the blanket tightens, knuckles turning white.
