A hand in his hair. Instinctively, HiMERU leaned into it. Rinne’s soft breath sent a shudder down his spine.
“You’re stressed. That’s what’s up. Didn’t ya think I’d notice?” His hands ran through HiMERU’s blue strands and he hated that he didn’t hate it. “You’re always stressed when you’re away from Tokyo. Ya wanna be close to him if something happens, huh?”
“Stop.” HiMERU’s voice was pressed, his shoulders tense. “Stop knowing things you shouldn’t know.” He could see Rinne’s grin in the reflection as the redhead leaned closer to his ear.
“Mhh, I don’t think so~” His chuckle gave him goosebumps. “We’re friends, you know?”
HiMERU sighed. “Don’t think you know me, Amagi.”

“Have a lovely evening, Nazuna-kun,” she settled for, watching him walk back into the dorm building, a wistful sigh escaping her.
Her angel had talked to her, had chatted with her, casually, like friends. Was she dreaming? Could this be real? Maybe he really did care, and if even a fraction of her feelings could be returned, she would cling to it desperately. She wanted to profess her love immediately, to envelop him in her arms and protect him, to orbit him entirely as if he really were her sun.
She had to play the long game, though. If she came on too strong, he would run, like an anxious little bunny. She couldn’t have that.
