Matt is still a Hell's Kitchen lawyer, but he's not Daredevil. Dex is still the best shot in the FBI, but he's not Bullseye. Fisk is still terrorising New York City, landing in a lux penthouse instead of prison where he belongs. Dex becomes obsessed with Matt while working for Fisk, and can't resisting making him his, or maybe it's vice versa, making himself Matt's.

Paul watches Earl Bertille slosh red wine onto the tablecloth—their hostess's nostrils flare—looks aside at Feyd-Rautha and sees him staring at the Earl with an unconcealed sneer, and, feeling grateful for having been given in marriage to a man with some discipline and self-respect at least, slides his hand along Feyd-Rautha's firm thigh and gives it a squeeze.
His husband turns to him with a questioning glance. Paul smiles, and means to convey, What a display this is! With everything that we are, at least we're not like that!
Feyd-Rautha responds with a slight tilt of his head and a small upturn of the corners of his mouth before returning to their meal.

Shepard was always hard to read. Sometimes his perpetual smile felt like the curve of a comedy mask in an ancient Greek tragedy, eerie in its immobility. Sometimes it felt like a threat. Now, though, it fell away for a moment, and he sighed. “You saw Thane?” Kaidan nodded, and Shepard reached into his pocket and took out a pencil, a fresh one he hadn’t snapped in half or chewed to death. “I did ask him to keep an eye on you. I was worried someone might decide to finish the job, and—he’s good backup. I’m just surprised you actually saw him. He’s good at keeping to the shadows.”
Kaidan wanted to keep needling him, but he wasn’t doped up enough to be mad anymore.
No, be honest. He was too glad to have Shepard here, inches away, breathing the same air, to be mad anymore. “I notice you didn’t argue with the boyfriend line. Guess the gossip rags were right.”
Now Shepard looked away. Though he was smiling again, it had taken on a fixed, ragged edge. “Well, I didn’t want you to get worked up over it, but you are a little behind the times. Thane—Thane has things to take care of, and I can’t blame him for that.”
