Gudrid stared at the scene, hand clasped over her mouth.
Dizziness washed over her at what was unfolding before her eyes.
Her little boy, Karli, sat on Thorfinn's lap, back to chest, both of them clad in nothing more than their tunics, her husband's pants pulled down to his ankles, while Karli's braies laid carelessly forgotten on the ground.

With a click of his tongue, he pushed the door shut and sheathed his sword, but didn't let the panting boy with his pants pulled down out of his sight. He made sure to give him a reprimanding look.
So this was where Thorfinn was hiding… having fun in here while Askeladd and the others did the dirty work. He crossed his arms as he leaned against the door and looked down on the boy, having his way with a young red-head on the bed on the opposite wall of the small cabin.
“I thought I'd given you a job.”
Anne doesn't escape this time and instead is caught by Thorfinn, who doesn't want to get rid of her just yet.
