Luz has been looking forward to this birthday with an anticipation Amity has never seen in her before. When asked why, she had exclaimed, “It’s when I get my learner’s permit!”
“Your learner’s permit for… what?”
“To drive a car! You and I are going to be able to go so many places together, Amity, just wait!”
Amity can’t understand the appeal of riding around in multiple tons of metal that you have to refuel intermittently— and it costs money. Walking is easy and free— the only hardship it’s ever brought her are the blisters she got when she wore flip flops to the fireworks show during the previous summer. And even then, they had just put antibiotic ointment and bandaids on them until they healed.
They move down the street at a snail’s pace. A child riding a tricycle easily outstrips them. Amity hopes Luz doesn’t notice.
Luz grows older, with all the milestones that come with it. Amity is her willing copilot.

Summary
I love the Justice League Cartoons and I’ve just started getting into the DCU in general.. but I also adore HSR and its characters..
So I’m shoving them into the universe of the Justice League (with some minor adjustments based off other DCU content) and seeing how they interact because it’s fun and I truly believe their interactions would be peak.
There’s no overarching plot for this (unless the story runs away from me) so the chapters are going to be fairly self contained, however I will do my best to make this understandable to people who aren’t familiar with both universes and their characters.
It’s going to be chaos, I’ll say that.

No game pissed off Amai like Class of ’09. A second-year psychology student, the characters were everything wrong with the world and Nicole was a glaring representation of everyone she hoped to help. She loved the game, but hated how real it was, and the tragically fucked-up pixels had her muttering about how much better she would do in their place as she fell asleep.
God must have been bored out of his mind, because minutes later, she was standing in front of an imposing high school in attire much too professional for a teenager. Amai connected the dots immediately: she was being told to put her money where her mouth was.
Bad news: she was objectively unqualified for this job.
Good news: she would be the best thing to happen to this shitty parody of a school either way.
