Commander Fox of the Coruscant Guard had lived a rather short life. He was only eleven, technically, but it didn’t really matter because he was just a weapon. A weapon who really hated his job, which was actually his entire reason for being, most people (The jedi were cool, except the one he kept fishing out of dumpsters, he was a loser, a hot loser, but still a loser)were idiots, and he really, really hated his boss.
Grandmaster Yoda had lived a long life, and as a result he had met many politicians. None of them irked him quite as much as Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. Having lost a bet with the rest of the Council, it’s up to Yoda to torment… report the progress of the war to Palpatine.
Nobody could have expected what happened. But it’s hardly the first time Yoda’s had to hide a dead body, and it won’t be the last. It’s hardly the first time Fox had hidden a dead body, but at least he’ll remember this one.
They did, after all, save the Galaxy from the Sith.

I don’t want to alert the suspects yet, so I need you to infiltrate their lives, and report back to me, once you’ve managed to gain their trust. I trust that you understand, how delicate this matter is?” Of course it wasn’t so, in reality, but the clone didn’t need to know anything about what was going on. The only thing it needed to do was to obey.
“Yes, Sir”, the Commander said. Sheev kept himself from grinning.
“Good”, he said. “Now, Commander. I want you to become friends with Senator Organa, and report back to me everything General Kenobi tells him.”

Or, Palpatine didn't learn from the first time it happened, and tries to get back at Obi-Wan, but this time using the Commander of the Coruscant Guard to do his bidding.
It doesn't, perhaps unsurprisingly, go quite as he planned.

Crosshair missed his buir.
No one could hold that against him.
Vode were an affectionate bunch, and even being advanced, experimental, whatever the Kaminiise called them, Clone Force 99 wasn’t any different.
They just tended to be insular with their affection.
Although, Crosshair was equally looking forward to getting on the mats with the reg that clocked him in the face on the mission to rescue Echo.
Really looking forward it.

Crosshair was just expecting a nice visit to Coruscant, to visit with his aliit for a little bit before heading back out into the war and the battles and the constant threat of death. He wasn't expecting to find out something about his buir and his batch that would lead to a malicious mystery that could very well shake the foundations of the Republic.But it happened anyway.
