"I don't have a coin to my name, lass, but I can't afford not to take my luck where I can get it," he murmured. She nodded at him and immediately broke out in goosebumps when he glided his fingers up the back of her neck and into her scalp. Something overwhelming was happening, but she was Lucky Fox and so she wasn't allowed to let nerves in. Instead, she suppressed a shiver of delight.
"Well, now I'm worried I'm going to miss out on all this prosperity," said a voice on the other side of her, then Dammon's hand was moving delicately past her cheek and into the hair above her ear.
