It was going to be the new year soon. In 6 hours, exactly. The hospital was full with patients and doctors, each health expert drinking eggnog while still trying to remain professional. Snow coated the grass outside, only the paths cleared for proper walking. The mood was jolly and high, chatter filling each waiting room and lobby in a cacophony of laughter. It seemed perfect.
Hidden away in his office, House juggled his ball as he stared up at the ceiling. He didn’t ever really have the heart or appreciation for big celebrations or mutual gatherings, so he willingly stayed tucked away as the night grew longer, and the crowd larger. Despite the huge community lingering in the halls all around the hospital, House was still hung up on his latest case.
But where were his pills?
