It’s just background noise, the soft static-filled television audio filling the otherwise dull apartment living room. Kendra is out at work, working overtime to provide for them after Barbie’s most recent fuck up that left her jobless. Barbie is scrolling through her phone, looking at all the job openings nearby. They’re all shitty, underpaying, slave labor posted by pricks who are looking for imps to exploit.
She won’t give in to that. Not even for quick cash. She’s trying to be better; she won’t get roped back into that life.
”I hereby sentence you, Blitzo…to death!”
Barbie drops her phone, head turning so fast to look at the TV, she nearly gives herself whiplash at the sound of that name.
Blitzo.

“Why...is this necessary, Blitz?”
Stolas can practically feel the imp roll his eyes, despite Blitz’s head being turned away from him.
It has to be the 100th time since they left the apartment that the owl has asked that question, but it’s cold and wet, and he wants to go home and lie on the couch and forget everything, but nooooooooooo. Blitz insisted they needed to go “tree searching”.
And to make it even better, Blitz decided this was a task that would only be possible if they went to Earth. The imp found some old farmland with trees that would ‘do the job’.
What they’re actually searching for, Stolas has no idea. All these trees look relatively the same. Not the healthiest looking bunch he’s ever seen, but in the past year, he’s grown to never expect the best.
However, this is getting a bit ridiculous.
OR, Blitz takes Stolas Sinsmas tree shopping in the human world. Fluff endures

He’d been trying to act all cool and casual about this date thing, but inside, he feels like his heart is only a few beats away from bursting right out of his chest. He has to get it right this time; no more fucking up.
And most importantly, this had to go a million times better than that cursed night at Ozzie’s. If either of them left this night in tears, Blitz would never forgive himself. He refuses to let his stupidity ever break Stolas’ fragile heart again.
He’s not a fool. He knows if he drops the fucking ball one more time, he might not get another chance at this.
They’ve been so close lately, closer than they ever were before. Sure, a part of Blitz missed the…physical connection they shared before, but it was nothing compared to this. The talking, the cuddling, the cooking and eating together, the constant presence, the hugs. It was all…amazing. Blitz never allowed anyone to get this close to him before, but with Stolas, it just came naturally.
Or, Blitz and Stolas go on a date and actually communicate (for once in their lives)

Summary
When ten-year-old Blitzo catches an eight-year-old Goetia sneaking through the circus grounds in search of food and clothes, he assumes he's found a runaway thief. Instead, he discovers an amnesia-ridden young owl with no memory of who he is or where he belongs. Against his better judgment, Blitzo offers Stolas a meal, a place to stay, and the first real kindness the lost prince has ever known.
One-night turns into weeks, and weeks become years as Stolas quietly becomes part of the circus family. He grows up alongside Blitzo, learning to perform beneath the big top, making lifelong friends, and experiencing a freedom far greater than the life that had once been destined for him. Summary
It felt amazing to be close with him like that again. The only light in the room came from the dull glow of the TV, and the way it hit Blitzø made it hard for Stolas to look away from him. He’d been a bit disappointed when the documentary ended, casting them mostly into darkness, but it wasn’t reason enough to stop.
It felt amazing until suddenly it didn’t.
