Summary
“Heaven will not have gathered the means to stop me yet, because they have none.” Death says it with the same ease most people talk about getting groceries. Talk about the top of the food chain.
“Remind me not to piss you off,” Dean jokes on reflex. Death sends him a look that reads, Do you really need reminding? That can be arranged.
Dean doesn’t find that hot. He doesn’t.
Sam has the wide eyes of someone actively being scarred for life.
Then Sam coughs, “Gay,” into his fist. It goes against all of Sam’s values, is frankly pretty stupid given the warnings Dean gave him less than ten minutes ago, technically doesn’t make sense, and if it does makes sense, then it’s hypocritical as fuck. Which means he ignored all of that just to give Dean a hard time. Now that’s love.
Dean socks him in the arm, hissing, “Behave.”
“You behave.”

Summary
There are many worlds in the Supernatural universe. The world we know is where Dean is Michael's true vessel and Sam is Lucifer's. But another world exists where neither are true vessels. These versions of Sam and Dean play a different role in a different prophecy, and one that ends just as badly.
The two Sams getting swapped, however, is not part of any prophecy.
