Summary
When Penelope wakes, blearily, she shifts to her opposite side in the uncomfortable hospital bed.
She sees him there, in the same place he has been for the last several days, from the moment she first awoke.

An accident steals five years of Penelope's memory, leaving her baffled and confused as she tries to adjust to the life that is, apparently, hers—a life she had once dreamed of, no less. Colin is Colin, taking care of her every need, but maintaining a careful distance that has her wondering how he fell in love with her in the first place. But as they navigate the strange new world they find themselves in, and as bits and pieces of Penelope's memory return, she learns how it feels to be truly and wholly loved by Colin Bridgerton.

Summary
There’s only so much funding the government will give for the project without needing to attend meetings, galas, legal affairs, and other time consuming matters that take her attention away from better, more important things. Tom Ryder can move markets (and his fanbase) Stratt reasons that could be a much faster way to get the funds she needs. And she has just the right person on her team with enough connections to make it happen.
Or
Tom Ryder makes a publicized visit to raise awareness and funds for the project and is soon very deeply committed to making Rylands life a literal hot mess.

- What are you doing to me?
The drunk little sparks dancing in Ryland's eyes caught the warm glow of the bar table's light. He'd dropped the back of his head against the tall booth cushion, watching Ryder from under heavy lids with a languid expression, and Tom could swear that if that look landed on him one more time, he would pathetically come in his pants within the next thirty seconds. Taking all available data into account and having thoroughly analyzed the situation, the most logical course of action seemed to be a timely warning:
- You look stupid when you're drunk.
Great. Lovely conversation. Now please smack your head against the table and make absolutely sure everyone sees it. Don't watch Grace tip his head back in silent laughter. Don't watch the way his throat moves under the warm amber glow of the lamp. And for the love of God don't listen to that low, almost purring voice that makes every organ in his body attempt a triple somersault and promptly shrivel up afterward.
- I can live with that.
