Summary
In the war for the Stepstones, a stray wind, or mayhaps the gods' intervention, turns the arrow aimed for Daemon’s shoulder to his neck. Blood spills on the sand: a life surrendered. Far away, in the cold of Castle Black, a Lord Commander falls as a traitor, killed by the daggers of his own brothers.
Yet death cannot hold both.
As the Rogue Prince's light goes out, a bastard rises from the ashes of a red dragon.
Or: Jon Snow dies and wakes up in the midst of a battle, long before the Dance begins. After, he meets Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, still unwed, and from that moment, nothing follows as it was meant to.
Or-Or: What if I made a Jon & Rhaenyra fic, but it's Jon and her sorting through their issues together while Jon tries to stop the Dance through sheer brooding and honor? It's not a deeply serious fic. Be warned.

Summary
Rhaegar Targaryen won the rebellion and claimed the Iron Throne, remaking the Seven Kingdoms in his vision. His son by the late Lyanna Stark, Daemon Waters, wanted for little, yet his bastardy remained.
Raised on Dragonstone by Ser Arthur Dayne, Daemon was forged in salt and smoke beneath the guidance of the Sword of the Morning, who became the father Rhaegar never was. On those black shores, Daenerys saw beyond the name Waters, while Queen Rhaella’s quiet kindness gave him the warmth and belonging he had never known.
Then came the red woman. Melisandre crossed the Narrow Sea in search of the Bastard of Dragonstone, for the flames had whispered of souls bound to his destiny, who would stand beside him when the darkness came.
Daemon had scare trust for prophecy, but fate cared little for disbelief. Beneath the shadow of a golden dragon, whose fire made the heavens bleed, a princess from another age fell into his arms, as though sent by the will of R'hllor himself. With her came a destiny he never sought, yet could no longer escape.

And so, by royal decree, Margaery Tyrell and Daenerys Targaryen were both betrothed to the Lord of Winterfell's base-born son, Jon Snow.
