    Peter is a comic books fan, which is probably pretty weird considering he's an actual superhero, but whatever. He's made peace with it.

    Now an adult with a full-time job to juggle on top of his Spider-Man duties, he doesn't have time to read most releases for his favorite characters, save for one: Deadpool. He keeps up religiously with Deadpool. Even has a poster of him on his wall, and even occasionally talks to that poster just to keep the crippling loneliness of his double-life at bay.

    Deadpool's newest and most mysterious series, Deadpool: Arrival, is... strange. The plot is paper thin and pointless, none of Deadpool's usual crowd shows up, and his fourth wall breaks are... weird. Like, weird weird. Uncanny, some might say.

    Or, really, one might say. Because the longer Peter reads, the more he begins to realize that all those fourth wall breaks, all those weird asides, seem to be tailored to one person, and one person alone: himself.

    Peter Parker. Broke college student, and neighborhood hero. Unfortunately, being Spider-Man isn't his only side job anymore.
    When Deadpool took up a job to take out Peter Parker, out of boredom from Spider-man being gone, he discovered the boy's struggle for money. Making it his mission to improve the boy's circumstances. While Peter grows fond of Wade, he feels there's still something missing. So what happens when Deadpool looks out for Peter, and Spider-man starts seeing Deadpool in a whole new light?
    It's the broke college kid sucks **** for money when the guy hired to kill him starts being his sugar daddy fic trope.
    This fic will range between silly, serious, and smutty.

    Peter doesn’t think he’s lonely. He’s too busy to be lonely. He’s twenty-two, working on his PhD and holding down a shitty job at the Daily Bugle, not to mention his nightly extra-curricular activities. He’s too busy for friends, and he’s certainly too busy for romantic interests. And yet, shockingly, apparently everyone in his life thinks he needs to stop being an anti-social recluse and get laid.

    So Peter enters the wide, wonderful world of online dating. He doesn’t expect to find his soul mate, or even a friend, and he’s definitely not looking for hook ups. He doesn’t know what he’s looking for, really, until one Wade W. Wilson catches his eye and captures his heart with risqué dog pics and a concerning obsession with cannibalistic serial killers.

    This is a love story. A sweet, inevitable journey towards each other. There is humor, and melancholy, and a touch of both gravitas and levity to the weeks that trickle by. But really it’s just an account of the slow, magnetic movement of Peter towards Wade, and Wade towards Peter.

    Peter hesitated for just a moment, and instantly regretted it. Too late, Deadpool had already noticed whatever microexpression had given him away, and pounced on it.

    Deadpool gasped. “No fucking way.”

     

    Or, Peter Parker is not as good at the secret identity thing as he thinks he is, and Deadpool gains a few (metaphorical) gray hairs.
