When they reached the attic, Ren led him to the couch.
“Sit here and close your eyes,” he instructed.
Goro gave him a skeptical look but he did as he was told. He listened as Ren made some light noises, until he felt something small being placed in his lap.
“Ok, open your eyes,” Ren said.
Goro looked down and stared at the object in his lap for a few moments, unable to do anything else. He had run through many possibilities in his head before this moment, and yet he hadn’t at all expected this.

A dangerous cocktail of jealousy and competitiveness inspires Ren and Goro to test their poker faces. But of course, this is no ordinary contest. As with everything they do, they have to be kinky about it.

"All right," says Akechi, settling grimly into his booth seat like he's getting ready for a war. "I'll entertain your misguided opinions. What elevates Black Condor above every other Featherman not just in the current flight, but in every other flight that's ever been on the screen?"
And once again Ren is staring the awkward truth in the face. I'm not really into Featherman. I lied the other day. I just couldn't cope with living in Tokyo without you, so I had to take weird measures, haha. Yeah, you're right, it is pretty pathetic. No, don't leave.
It starts when Ren buys a Featherman keychain in memory of his rival. No problems so far, except that his rival is dead, and Tokyo is a hollowed-out husk without him. But when Ren runs into Akechi at a midnight premiere, the landscape changes, and he's faced with his biggest challenge since he killed his last god: Convince Goro Akechi that he likes Featherman.

The laughter that chokes its way out of Goro’s throat is pained, almost maniacal. “Are you blind? You’re surrounded by people who will drop everything if it means having a chance with you. You could be happy with anyone else in your life, Joker.”
“I don’t want any of them. I’ve made my choice a long time ago. You know this.”

”There’s a…certain sexual act I’ve been thinking about trying with you.”
Oh my god. Who knew that the familiarly hilarious combination of “certain” and “sexual act” from Goro Akechi’s mouth could drive Akira this ballistic? He clutched the duvet as a means to prevent him from vibrating in pure delight. “O-Of course. What did you have in mind?”
“It might not even be that interesting, but it’s in regard to permission.”
“Permission?” Akira repeated, confused. “Uh. To do what, exactly?”
“Permission to make me come.”
Forget sleeping. Only two thoughts materialized in Akira’s half-cognizant brain: 1), fuck fuck fuck what the actual fuck, and 2), I’m gonna drive this man so out of his mind that the only words left in his vocabulary will be “please” and “Akira, Akira, Akira”.
Or:
Akechi has another spontaneous request. Akira is all too eager to please.
