The coffee felt warm and soothing as it went down his throat, but Espresso wasn't taking in the taste, not in the slightest. He poured another cup not even minutes after he finished what was in the mug, adjusting his glasses before going to down what was the third cup of the day already.
But coffee did nothing to combat the exhaustion anymore.Espresso learns that drowning everything out in coffee and focusing only on his work is bad for more aspects of his health than one in the long run.

A new place, a new start, Espresso figured when he followed Latte into moving into the new kingdom. Sure, it would probably throw him off schedule, but nothing could possibly go wrong.
Well, being forced to face the part of his past that Espresso has been trying to leave behind for seven years within several hours of moving in isn't exactly great.

Summary
Langa did not take it well when Oliver Hasegawa, his father, lost his two year battle with cancer. He has some coping mechanisms to cope with the grief, though some are more unhealthier than the others.
His mind is a fucking mess, and things don't seem to be getting better for him. Then he moves to Japan with his mother, back to her hometown of Oikawa. Then he meets a boy with red hair and a love for skating, and things seem to be taking a turn for the better.
But as the saying goes, Rome wasn't built in a day. And things won't get better overnight.

Summary
Laryngitis. Stupid. Laryngitis.
Reki couldn't believe it. How on Earth was he supposed to know that playing around with his cousins in the rain would make him so ill? He felt awful. His whole throat throbbed and ached, the slightest movement making him uncomfortable. He couldn't even talk properly (which was torture for someone as extroverted and talkative as him), so he walked around, pen and notebook in hand, writing whatever was necessary to communicate. Which sucked.
Or, Reki doesn't understand a single thing about the English language and Langa sees this as an opportunity to confess something.

Langa pushes his board back and forth, the little rumble of the tires filling the late afternoon quiet between them as he takes a deep, audible breath, looks directly at Reki, and nods. “Yes.”
And that’s a surprise. Reki tries not to let it show. “Have you guys been on any dates?”
“Yeah. I mean, I thought they were dates.”
That’s… kind of sweet. Sweet in the way that feels like it's going to make Reki sick. “How have you even had time for that?” he mutters. “You spend all your time with me.”
