Summary
Sam makes a startling discovery when he finds a hidden file in the Men of Letters bunker. Henry Winchester was never human. He was the product of an experiment to suppress the physical and psychological traits of a supernatural creature, essentially trapping it in a human shell and allowing it to pass as human. The problem? The magic weakens across generations. Dean does not take the news well. His whole life he'd been raised to be the perfect hunter. How can he accept that deep down he's always been something he would have hunted? Something not human? Wanting to make it better for his brother, Sam attempts to reinforce the spell, which only causes it to fail faster.
