Jesper smiles, more a grimace than anything else and feels the pull in every muscle, every cut stinging in the cool air. He swipes his tongue over bloodied teeth before speaking, “I did not think Kaz Brekker to be someone who offers to help people so freely.”
Something flashes in Brekker's eyes that Jesper has no way of identifying. The corner of his lips twitch upwards and his hands flex on the head of his cane, Jesper thinks maybe he sees blood splattered on it.
“Well, not really, no. But I'm sure there is something you could do for me.”

Summary
Those times when the Skandian national hockey team ran the world are long gone. But Erak, who used to be the captain of the unstoppable dream team and now is the coach of the juniors, feels like there is hope on the horizon, or more specifically, in the junior dressing room. He just needs to stop the young players from killing each other until the end of the championships, and explain to them that hockey is a team sport for a reason.
But maybe, the solution for his problem may be easier to find than he initially thought. And maybe, it has a shape of a kid who was dragged into the team by one of his old teammates.
or me, thinking putting herons, sharks and wolves into one hockey team was a good idea

The entire crew was either extremely scared of the former Kraken (Lucius, Frenchie, and Fang) or murderous and on the verge of slicing his throat whenever they were alone with him (Jim, Archie, Pete, Ivan). The rest of the crew (Oluwande, Wee John, Roach) was more impartial, but didn’t hide their disdain for Edward in any way.
"Edward and I are hoping that by spending time one-on-one, the crew get to have a personal apology and see that Edward can be the man the two of us know he can be."Or: the three most powerful men on the Revenge all had their individual mission: Edward wants the crew to forgive him for what he had done to them; Bonnet keeps pestering Izzy to teach him how to be a fucking pirate, and Izzy is here, struggling to teach the crew how to survive. Because in a a bit over a week, they’re going to reach their next port. And Izzy wants to fucking leave.
(This fic takes off at during the events of s2ep5 and takes it from there. Up until this point, canon exists (except for Ivan’s death – he’s alive and kicking in this one!), but let’s see if the upcoming events are going to happen in this story.)
