They were the people you spent hours on the phone with. They were the people you never got tired of, who you could spend seemingly forever with and never think 'I wish I was with someone else'. They were the people you'd drive hours just to see, who you'd drop just about anything to be there for.
And friends were lots of people, too. They were young and old people, quiet and loud people—you name it, two friends out there would fit it.
And sometimes friends were a civilian and a villain, and sometimes one showed up in the middle of the night injured and bleeding, never asking but always silently hoping that you'd help them. And you would, of course you'd help them.
