“Can we make a pact?”Will’s eyes shot back up to his friend's. There was a seriousness there that was delicately molded into something very caring.
“Yeah, anything.” Will responded.
Mike played again with the clothes at his feet before continuing devoid of eye contact, “Can we stick together tonight? I’ve never been drunk before and if I do something stupid, I want you to be there. We’ll be stupid together, ya know?”
Will smiled, the answer obvious to him. He had hoped that would be the case anyways but to hear it said made it seem set in stone like a promise. It meant a lot to Will. And it was pretty clear it meant a lot to Mike too.
“Of course, Mike. Crazy together, right?” Will stated.
“Crazy together.”

Summary
Something happened between Mike and Will during winter break of ‘89, and they haven’t spoken in four years. When Mike moves to New York for grad school in 1993, he is finally starting to figure himself out, and he wants to fix things with Will. He has no idea where to begin, so he writes a play about it.
Will has been building a life for himself in NYC as a painter. He has a boyfriend, volunteers with an AIDS housing program, and pays his rent by acting in other people’s plays – including, as it turns out, Mike’s.
A story about the damage of being loved before you’re ready, and about trying to make your way back (with a little help along the way from your meddling older siblings).
