The country of Magentano was an odd country. It was a country of great technological advances and had a good and stable economic situation not just inside its own continent, Europe, but also on an international scale. It had a relatively medium size, compared to some of the bigger European countries, and a unique culture. It held great military might, having the right to do so as it was independent from the European Union. It had been a thriving country for centuries. Its success had earned it the jealousy and wariness of its neighbours, and despite all this, this relatively small country maintained a very low profile on an international scale.
All in all, its a great country. With wise monarchs, a rich economy, advanced technology and a spectacular culture.
And yet – and Suho can’t stress this enough – it had such a low profile on an international scale that, more often than not, it was forgotten. Just the kind of place he was looking for.

Or I wanted a modern au were Suho and Lloyd exist simultaneously and the Frontera family interacts. Javier is part of the family, he was unofficially adopted ages ago, Suho will arrive and not realize he had been adopted by everyone, he is silly like that.

Summary
It was quiet, and when Olruggio’s head raised he saw that ever-present look on Qifrey’s face again.
The one where he looked hesitant, a little bit displaced, and so startingly unsure of himself.
“Olly, I’m...” he started, awkwardly trailing off as his hand traced to the top of his cap. “You know I don’t do too well with being... celebrated.”
He spoke the words as if the mere thought of it made him uncomfortable, his shoulders hunching up as he coiled that ribbon tight around his finger.
Olruggio reached between them.
“Of things worth celebrating,” he murmured, catching the ribbon with his finger and gently pulling it loose. “You being born is at the very top of my list.” He leveled Qifrey with a look. “Understand?”
Qifrey nodded slow as if in a daze, whispering out a hushed, “Yes,” as he watched Olruggio weave the ribbon between his fingers.
Or
Qifrey’s birthday comes around again, but this year Olruggio hoped to make it a bit more memorable.
Whether Qifrey liked it or not.

Olruggio never made a big deal about the money his specialized commissions got him. They got what they needed, and some extra at that. To the others, however, it is quite a revelation.

There was a trail of Qifrey’s blood from the entrance to the door the doctor had disappeared through.
Luckily, he didn’t have long to stand there, numb. The girls appeared moments later.
Olly swallowed, hating that he needed to ask questions from them right now, but also desperately needing to know how yet another test had gone so sideways. He cleared his throat, getting the attention of all four apprentices, and eloquently managed to ask, “…what happened?”

Qifrey and Olruggio figure out what life looks like after the silverwood seed is gone. Fair warning, it starts with a good amount of angst but moves into lots of comfort. Full of yearning all the way through.
You definitely don't have to read the earlier bits in the series - it's all just a series of Olruggio and Qifrey yearning.
