Summary
Friends. That was a funny way to describe his relationship with Ivan.
He supposed they weren't strangers, but "friends" felt… short. Till was certain friends didn't treat each other like that, let alone crash in the same bed often. Did friends leave marks on each other's skin? Even as kids, their “friendship” had been a cycle of scraped knees and bruised knuckles from wrestling on the pavement.
He startled as he stared at the sleeping Ivan.
His eyes were open. Of course they were.
Till's hand hovered before retreating.
He wondered if friends woke up next to each other the way they did, after a night of trading insults and huddling under the same blanket.
Till averted his gaze.(Because things around Till were constantly changing but Ivan remains the same... at least until recently)

Summary
Till’s muse is Mizi. She has always been pencil lines on Till’s sketchbooks, pink paint and warm colors on his canvas.
Till’s muse is Mizi, so he doesn’t quite understand it when her image starts to get foggy and gray under the eraser’s influence, over and over again, until he’s just staring at a blank page once more.
He doesn’t understand—Mizi is still just as pretty as she was a few months ago, with her cotton candy hair and lemon green eyes. She is still just as bright, lighting up wherever she walks. So why is it impossible to draw her all of a sudden?
---
Over the span of a few years, Till's feelings have changed. His art starts to reflect it.

Summary
He almost loses his footing on the stairs, sight hindered by a pile of buckets, and a couple of things fall as he is saved by another student, scratching his right arm hard against the railing.
“Are you alright?”
Something hiccups, stops, tumbles down the stairs. It’s the pile of empty buckets encrusted with paint, Till notices distantly, but he can’t see them.
Instead, he sees black. Black hair, black eyes, all in the right hue, and the beginning of a black sweater under a pair of headphones snuggled around a neck. It is so absurd that no words get out, his mind dizzy and playing statics in an unnerving loop.
Till licks his lips, feels electricity in his veins, tries to swallow and fails, throat dry. Says, “Ivan?”Ivan and Till have a second chance, if they decide to grab it.

Summary
Through his trembling, Till thinks the sky is so incredibly humbling the darker it is—he’s never seen so many stars in one place before.
It’s even more amazing that he’s scared of it, completely and utterly terrified of something so breathtaking and harmless. Ivan is Till’s atmosphere, protecting him from the light of the stars with a held hand as they run through the wild grass.
