    First of all, this is the first fanfic I've ever posted publicly.

    Secondly, I know this fandom is kind of a niche within a niche, but there are some amazing writers out there who have already added so much to what was already there. I'm inspired by you, and your headcanons and fix-its.

    I wanted a story featuring A’den and Ny, and also a romance that doesn’t feature a “nice girl” who Kal Skirata sets up with one of his eligible bachelor Null sons, because, well, where do I start? (I love these books for the most part; I really do.) There are some that got close, but I really had to write my own to get what I wanted. A’den is my favorite Null by light years, and I could go on at great length about why. I'd rather show than tell, though. I like Ny lots, too, and she deserves to be more than a love interest and late-in-life adoptive mom. OC came from the same place as Ny, in the story, and outside of it, too, probably. She’s an OC love interest largely because there aren’t any single blockade-running bad girls with checkered pasts in the source material, except as a joke. They’re Corellian because the culture fits, and it’s fun to write.

    This all happened a long time ago and also far away. Allegedly.
