"You alright there, ma'am?" A low voice had broken you out of your thoughts, and when you tried to look at them, their figure was blurry. You hadn't realized that you had started to cry.
"I'm all good, thank you for asking." You quickly blink away the tears, ashamed that someone had caught you in this vulnerable moment. Slowly, you were able to make your way back on your feet, dumping all the bags onto the floor to regain your balance.
"You sure about that, ma'am? I can give you a hand those bags you got draggin' you down." If you weren't so used to country accents, you could imagine yourself swooning over his voice. Having been raised in some proximity to ranchers and cowboys your entire life, you never got the appeal of their voices. Disgust filled you whenever your friends had fawned over your father's voice.
