"Well?" Evan deadpans. His eyes are devoid of his usual playful snark, like he’s speaking to someone he loathes. Seeing Evan so cold bloody hurts, it makes Barty want to shrink in on himself. He’s not supposed to be subjected to his ire - doesn’t know what to do with it.
"I.. I don’t know. Fuck, I guess I just.." Barty splutters out pathetically. He tries to come up with a valid excuse, a way to justify his newfound fixation on where his best mate sticks his dick, but once again the words die on his tongue.
Evan scoffs. The icy, mocking tone of it makes Barty flinch. "Right. Well give it a rest, would you? I do just fine on my own. I don’t need your fucking opinion."

It was impossible not to the get drawn in by their magnetism, impossible not to watch them when they were together, impossible not to be affected by the way the whole world seemed to centre around them.
