Cipher and Hyacine rolled their eyes simultaneously, only Castorice perked up at the words giddily as dazzling stars filled her eyes.
“And the grass is green.” Cipher remarked.
“And the sky is blue.” Hyacine added.
“That’s wonderful Phainon! Have you told him yet?” Castorice inquired happily.

“It’s so easy being around you Mydei.” Phainon spoke.
“Huh?”
Mydei has been called many things, but ‘easy’ was never one of them.
“Sorry, that probably came out of the blue. It’s just, there’s always these expectations I feel the need to meet, y'know. I always thought that if I didn’t, i’d just…I don’t know, it’s like if I didn’t meet them, I wouldn’t have anything left. There wasn’t much of a need for me to be who I am, it was enough to be what people needed me to be.” Phainon turned, his expression serious as he fixed his slightly tilted glasses. “You make me so greedy. It’s not enough to live up to what people think anymore. I want to be around you.”

Summary
Villagers gathered together and danced around the bonfire hand-in-hand. It didn’t matter if they knew one another or if they were complete strangers. Tonight, they were simply people who lived in the same small village and wanted to enjoy a seemingly successful harvest.
Or what would have been a successful harvest, had it not been for that foul beast lurking in the forest.
The wolf was a major issue, that much was sure. If they couldn’t find a way to deal with the wolf, would they just live the rest of their lives in fear? Would future generations do the same? If someone accidentally leaves the safety of their home on the night of a full moon, what would happen to them?
Phainon couldn’t accept such a fate.
“If the rumors are true,” Phainon chewed around the marshmallow, “we need to do something about the wolf.”
Cyrene’s eyes widened. “Hold on, you can't mean you plan to actually challenge the wolf by force?”

The world asked him to bear it all for them, all the choices, all the pain. His heart ached, it yearned, it wanted the most beautiful labubu in heart and soul he ever found.
Was it even a choice? What did Phainon’s own feelings matter when it was put against the world?
It was never a choice for him to make to begin with.
OR: Phainon really wants to marry fellow tribe chief Mydei until he ends up in another predicament that could change the course of history for labubu kind.
