That’s a lie. He should not try it sometime. He should walk away, now, very fast, and not turn back. His panicked, darting eyes settle on a strange, lumpy shape near the man, hanging precariously off the rocks. A southerly wind sweeps up from the ocean, or maybe it’s just fate.
