Summary
The Loner Club was never able to keep more than one member.
Nejire Hado created it as a quiet refuge for people who didn't quite belong. Ironic, really. She had everything society admired—beauty, a powerful quirk, and a destiny that gleamed. But her endless curiosity, the barrage of questions, the intensity behind every interaction drove people away just as fast as her gifts drew them in.
So she built a place for loners. But even loners found her unbearable.
At no point did she ever expect someone like Izuku Midoriya to walk through the door.
A quirkless kouhai with a dream too big for his fragile body.
For one brief stretch of her third year, the club had two members. Two lonely kids sharing dreams in a forgotten classroom—a bond forged from mutual understanding.
Until she graduated, leaving him behind.
Years later, they are reunited at U.A.
But Izuku Midoriya is no longer the powerless boy she left behind.
And Nejire must face the truth she spent years running from.

Summary
Often life does not go the way you want it to go, often it hurts you and you can almost hear it's mocking laugh in your ears as you try to pick up the sharp-edged pieces of your dreams and intentions and reshape it with shaking, bloodied fingers into something like the masterpiece you imagined it to be.
The Pro-heroine Midnight had failed, Nemuri knew that. Her reputation was in taters, her family had distanced themselves from her before she even could arrive at U.A., most of her hero-friends hadn't spoken to her in years and her back- up dream job was just that, a dream.
The grind that is life breaks many...but sometimes even the hurt and disappointed can stand up to life to do what is right rather than what is convenient for them.
Nemuri was a Hero and if someone gave her the chance, she would be again.
And sometimes life does give such a chance.
