Summary
Welcome to Crowley's, a hub of nightlife fit for just about anyone looking to have some reprieve from the tiresome grind of everyday life. Under the surface; it's a legal hub for the supernatural, a shadow for the undead to feast in peace. Or at least it was, until the territory war started.
All Yuu, the product of a broken family, estranged and with only a handful of friends, wants is to find his place in the world, but the world for an alpha with a record isn't an easy place. So he finds himself as a dancer at Crowley's, at least until the omega Mikaela takes his place on stage. He's demoted to a Bartender, and Mikaela's his new colleague.
He's not upset about it for long though. Yuu can't help but find himself drawn to Mikaela, and the shadows that lurk backstage. But when Yuu learns he's bitten off more than he can chew, will he do whatever it takes to keep the omega by his side?

A broken voice spoke out into the silence of the night. Wide blue eyes shone in the dark, wet with tears. They were a pool you could drown in, and once he looked at them, he found he could never look away.
"Wait- Don't leave me alone... please Yuu-chan... Promise me?"
Yuu turned, slowly, and then he was there, at the blonde's side, hands against his face and unwilling to ever let him go. Why he felt this way... what made him so brutelly attached... he'd never know. But... undeniably... there was something within Mikaela Hyakuya that made it impossible to step closer to the door, to the freedom he could so rightfully take.

Summary
Yuichirou never thought humanity was a curse. In fact, he treasured it more than anything. Yet, hearing Mikaela’s rare but synthetic laugh in intervals that sounded human but were really perfectly timed alarms woke Yuu up from his blissful dream. His smile, one he most treasured, was blurred into a messy, crayon-like drawing of a child who never truly escaped.
Reality shook him to the core, perpetuating a sinful sense that he had not, in fact, saved Mika or himself. He had created an illusion of serenity every time he talked to his friends and held onto their every word. Delusional? Maybe he was. But surely he was more than that…
He wasn’t. He had to remind himself that he was just a parasite; sucking the life and love out of people who could live without him.

Summary
The green was similar to the leaves from the tree. It probably got stuck there when the animal flew into the branches after picking up its meal. Yuichirou followed Mika’s gaze, watching the sparrow swallow the soft, yellowish bug.
The soldier looked back down, lost in the foreign expression in Mika’s crimson eyes. An unspoken whisper of many lingering feelings barely reached a tug of his lips. His mouth was parted, fangs peeking from the entrance only to be hidden as he hid his face in his hair.
The sun suddenly wasn’t as bright anymore.

He thought back to Nagoya. It was hard not to. The air was dry there, too, with the very same smell of salt. Salt, sulfur, steel. Hundreds of hearts beating in fear, like a cacophony that assaulted only him. Maybe he was weak after all. Hell, if his own heart could still beat, he was sure it would’ve joined the chorus.
Mikaela didn’t feel much. But when he did, it was always for the same reason.
