Summary
Joshua reaches for the cigarette perched loosely between Clive’s fingers, eyes watching and waiting for his brother to pull it out of reach. The lull in their conversation left the air between them heavy and ready to catch.
Or maybe it's just him.

Day 4 of Roscest Week - Tears Shed
The ocean is kind in this moment, ushering the two bodies to shore as strength faded and water threatened to fill lungs. Carrying the other on his back with the hope of land his driving force. He needed to get him to safety. To solid ground and wet sand, anything but the churning seas that pull at his legs.

Day 2 of Roscest Week: Secrets
The old tree that was kind enough to hold and keep all of their memories thankfully, still stood tall on the castle grounds. The whorls and etchings of it's bark cradling the love and joy two boys had shown it so many years ago, the leaves shading them from the world for a moment. Giving them a sense of normalcy. Of being simply human and nothing more.

Day 1of Roscest Week: Oaths and Promises
"Then you complete the oath by placing the Heart into the cradle."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course. This is a practice that had been left untended for at least six generations." Joshua shifts the weight of the Heart between his palms. The cerulean gem glints yellow and green in the sunlight, the blue core bleeding purple if it's tilted just so. "It felt rather romantic to me when I stumbled upon the ceremony in the shelves some moons ago. I had consulted with the Undying to be sure their pages carried the same truths."

Summary
An Au in which is mess around and try to make sense of my ideas. Brainstorming happens between i, willow and sparrow so i can't claim all ownership of everything and they usually read over my ideas before i post them.
But yes! This AU takes place in an alternative canon in which Rosaria functions in more of a religious fashion and with the undying easily into a cult handling at least within it's walls. Joshua was taken to begin his Fledge (basically the start of his ascending/grooming/learning to be the Phoenix) at age 10. 13 years pass (12 to be picky for his actually learning) and he has finally ascended. Finding out the Clive went into the church to learn and train to be the Phoenix's First Shield and Paladin of the Flame while Joshua was gone. Both expecting the other to be a stranger in some fashion but after surprised when the other carried on as a result of the memories and gifts of the other.
in some respect this is an exploration on intimacy and some splashes of just playing around with the idea. i have no plans to do a Proper Story of this AU just as an FYI.
Thank you for enjoying.

Summary
In the years since losing his eye, Gav has more or less adjusted to being blind on one side. Likewise, in the years they’ve been together, he’s gotten a handle on most of Clive’s little quirks and eccentricities. Even with all his insight, though, every now and then he still finds himself blindsided.

Summary
Jealousy suited Clive. Not only for the delightful frown-bordering-pout and the crease in his brow, but how raw it was paired with his tender heart. Robust, potent, and intoxicating, Joshua relished in the vulnerability, knowing very few could bring Clive so low. Perhaps even only one, should he be so bold.

Summary
clive breaks up with a long-term boyfriend, and joshua sees an opportunity. or, clive takes someone who's not a stranger home from a bar, and gets what he didn't realize he was after anyway.
A week out from a breakup with a boy he was already on the fence about continuing a relationship with and here he is moping in a bar. In a club. He’d laugh at his own god damn stereotypical bullshit if he had it in him, but in the moment, it manifests in an audible snort as he fishes out a third ice cube and elects to suck on it. There is still a vague taste of alcohol clinging to it and so he savors the bitterness before nudging the glass away. Maybe another one. Maybe a short walk to find himself some of those cigarettes, though he hasn’t smoked in a good six years.

Summary
"It was— cruel," Clive gasps, "And you know it."
"Cruel?" Joshua's teeth consider Clive's jawline, the column of his throat, the hollow beneath his ear, before finally nipping at his earlobe, hard. "Hardly."
"To imply to every single lady of the court, loudly, that I am currently seeking a wife? During the largest banquet of the y—year?"
It is becoming difficult to think words, let alone form them. He had much to drink. (So much.) And there besides, Joshua's middle and index fingers have made their home nestled on either side of his clit, rubbing up and down in tiny, teasing movements. Every one sends deep shocks shooting upon Clive's spine and unfurling like heated wings in his very core.
"They may as well get their hopes up now," Joshua murmurs, sparing a glance down between their bodies, regarding his work. "The sooner they're up, the sooner they'll once more be down. Mother may scheme all she likes, but you, dear Brother, are mine."

Joshua has plans for the evening that involve Clive being very, very full of wine.

“Beneath the Talon of the Phoenix,” He murmurs, his voice low, run through with magicks. “I shall keep you.”

“By Flame and by Wing,” Joshua’s voice grows a step lower, “I shall keep you.”
